nice!!, this is some awesome news
Glad to hear it! Let's see some awesome games!
Is this a joke? LoL before HoN? Because of the factors of runes, and stacking items, there is hardly any room for LoL to be an esport. There are 10x as many teams in HoN looking for tournaments as there are in LoL. This is quite a joke in my opinion.

The playerbase of LoL is x10 bigger than that of HoN

Right you are. But the playerbase of competitive players and teams, is 3x smaller.
I love when people talk smack about competetive LoL.
And Rythms, your talking out of your ass.
I am talking out my ass? Then why has WoW gone to bits as an esports? It is the same concept dumbass. I have been involved in esports since 1999, I have seen the trends.
That doesn't change the fact that WoW was successful...
WoW takes tons of support from a developer to become an eSport at all. Trust me I set it up on MLG. This was a huge pain in the ass. The game is an eSport and with more work from Blizzard this would be the case.

It's clear that SC2 is Blizzard's eSports game by their own admission.
WoW was never intended to become an e-sport. Arena's were an experiment that just threw the game into utter chaos (and ultimately boosted the WoW subscription base) in terms of balance, PvE vs PvP flamewars, and resulted in Blizzard admitting (!) that they shouldn't of made the game type.

It's also been removed from MLG because of Patch 4.0 and the new release, Cataclysm.

WoW is still alive and strong, and is still dominating the rpg market after 6 years! But its iffy if it will attempt e-sportdom again.
WoW can be a strong eSports game and the viewer numbers from MLG proved this. It's just the technical side that is holding it back.
either way LOL > HON
